  • Founded company/group in 1976
  • Fellow of the Royal Institution of Naval Architects
  • Member of Chartered Institute of Transport(CIT)
  • CIT Achiever of the Year 1995
  • Board member of IMTA/Interferry 1989 – 2002
  • Director of Sea Freight Council, Queensland.

 

Mr. Ballantyne is a believer of the use of medium speed ferries verses high speed ferries and is often guest speaker at International Shows and Conferences on this subject.

 

Mr. Ballantyne and his team have over the years produced effective, economical designs of monos and cats etc which have proved to be sound business investments in both safe, efficient operation and cost effectiveness.

 

Sea Transport designs have been accepted internationally and are being build in many countries including Asia, Europe and North America.

 

Mrs. Ballatyne was the President of Interferry 2002, and hosted the annual conference where there where 230 delegates from 27 countries, including Turkey.
